LAB has a high feedstock flexibility. Products ranging from paraffin base up to 100% olefin based allow us to take advantage of North American olefin availability. IOD has a diverse product range from standard detergent grade to high molecular weight alkylates. We also have large scale capacity and process technology, which enables a diversified business in engine lubricant market, beyond detergent LAB.

Ethanolamines are a multifunctional family of amino alcohols favored for a diverse range of applications. They are hygroscopic and miscible with water, most alcohols, and polyols. As alkalines, they react with acids to form esters or salts. Their versatile properties qualify them for industrial use as absorbents for gas treating; as emulsifiers in cleaning products; and as a corrosion inhibitor.

Methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) is a high-octane, clean-burning gasoline oxygenate used in more than 50 countries around the world to optimize combustion and reduce tailpipe emissions. Although primarily used as a gasoline blend component, MTBE can also be back-cracked to high-purity isobutylene for use as a chemical feedstock. We have a world-scale manufacturing plant in Port Neches, TX, which produces approximately1.6 billion lbs. of MTBE and roughly 525 million lbs. of Propylene Oxide.
